I am approximately ( 16975.3 Kilometers / 9159.9 Nautical Miles ) from Australia.
I am in London on holidays well a family holiday, so some part feels like a holiday and other parts feel like I may be needing a holiday from my holiday…. If you know what I mean!
Being so far removed from my life, from the people I spend my time with, the work I do and the life I lead; definitely puts some things into perspective.
Distance from anything is a great way to obtain some clarity, and sure while a two day plane trip to achieve this clarity may be a tad extreme, I thoroughly recommend taking a step back every now and then to re-evaluate your life.
I believe if you are in a relationship of any kind and you feel happier when you are apart, you don’t miss them when you are not together then I question the strength of that relationship.
If you are away from your life and dreading the thought of returning, then some obvious changes need to be made.
I have seen and done a lot the past three weeks, but one thing has remained the same, while the break from my normal routine was certainly welcomed, while I have loved the holiday I have been on, I can not wait to return to my life.
Distance for me has only strengthened my resolve to continue on the path I am on, perhaps with a few changes along the way.
Rather than being afraid to take that step back as people often are, walk confidently backwards for a moment to take stock of what is really important to you.
