Holding on to anger is a dangerous game; anger is a ticking time bomb that if not managed carefully will detonate, seriously harming your body and your mind.
Through my fitness coaching I teach the importance of breathing, exercising the body and slowing the mind.
I see the effects of anger and stress in the people I teach, as the anger manifests in neck pain, headaches and back pain.
Anger is a poisonous toxin; acknowledge it, feel it for a moment, then move on.
Move on before you lose more sleep, before you lash out at those close to you, before the pain reaches your body.
Find a happy thought in your memory and draw upon it when you need to, visualise it so clearly and vividly that when that anger and hurt comes appears you can override it.
I am aware that at times this concept is easier said that done; I have been battling with my mind all week.
I am not saying it is easy to push anger aside and focus on the positives, what I am saying is that it is imperative for your well-being.
This may sound simplistic, this may sound lame but I firmly believe that anger and hatred breeds more of the same, and who wants to live in a world like that.
Fill your head with positive thoughts, and rid your body and your world of negative toxins.
Create the positive world you want for yourself, our minds are stronger than we give ourselves credit for.
