As you all know, I am currently participating in the ‘gratitude 100’ project.
This project is an amazing way to ensure my glass is always half full, rather than half empty.
To seek out things to be grateful for each day and focusing on the positives rather than negatives is something I strongly suggest to everyone to try.
It is sometimes easy to fall into the habit of focusing on the one thing missing or not perfect in your life, rather than remembering all the many wonderful things.
While I hate this fact, it is sadly human nature and something we are all guilty of from time to time.
Waking up on day seven of this project, I realised that for the last 7 days, my first excited thought each morning has been “what will I choose to be grateful for today?”
What a beautiful way to start each day.
You will always encounter set backs, disapointments and frustrations in life – this is life! Acknowledge this, accept this, then return your focus to all the good, positive, happy moments.
Life is too short to be staring into a half empty glass of sorrow and regret.
I believe there is always something to be grateful for, no matter how big or how small.
