Stretch – you need to !

Our bodies are meant to move, our bodies need to be stretched. In this day and age, we sit for too long, this isn’t how our bodies were designed.

Most kids are generally extremely flexible, so when do we start to lose it? What age do our joints start ceasing and our flexibility starts shrinking?

I believe that sadly our lifestyles are becoming more sedentary year by year, we are becoming lazier, our obesity levels are on the rise, and as we sit more, and run around less the importance of stretching is even greater.

Why is it so hard for us to find the time to do the things we need to like stretch?

Stretch on the beach, stretch at work, stretch wherever you can but for the love of Gd just stretch!

So often I see people racing out of a group fitness class, not having the extra three minutes in their day to stretch.

Madness!

Stretching is vital, especially the older we get. I won’t lie, increasing flexibility is not an instant process, it is a gradual yet rewarding process.

Set yourself achievable goals, then try to exceed your flexibility by just an inch each time you stretch.

Stretch, move, live life to the fullest and find ways to improve your life every chance you get.
