Tiny ripples bubbling on the surface

Have you ever seen a river really early in the morning? If the weather is calm and not windy, the water is a vast glassy mass of stillness and serenity.

We all have the ability to wake up with a mind like this, yet how many mornings have you woken like this only to have one small thing happen; you miss the bus your kids have gone feral, your boss yells at you, and that moment is so quickly gone.

Ripples begin to appear on the tranquil surface, and before you are even fully aware, a tidal wave of frustration and angst has built inside you.

Don’t let outside influences take that early morning stillness away from you. Find a way to hold on to it. Keep that stillness and calmness inside. It takes practice but we each have working and powerful minds and imaginations. We just need to train and practice them.

Become aware of the power of your thoughts, learn to recognize when those ripples start appearing on the surface and smooth them out before they magnify.
